Originally founded in 1978 as a small unit to serve the medically indigent in rural southeast Missouri, this private, non-profit organization now has five facilities throughout the region, with 12 health care providers and more than 100 medical and dental staff. Southeast Missouri Health Network's (SEMOHN) on-site services include:
SEMOHN accepts Medicaid, Medicare, workers' compensation and most private insurance. It also offers a sliding fee program and Medication Assistance Program, based on a patient's household income. The sliding fee approach also covers insured patients with high insurance deductibles.
